Operations Engineer in the offshore decommissioning industry

As an Operations Engineer based in our office in Hoofddorp (The Netherlands) you will help in the preparation and execution support of offshore decommissioning project. As a very autonomous and multiskilled engineer, you will be taking part from small to large scale projects by reviewing documentation, managing mobilization plans and controlling costs.
Job responsibilities include:
- Gathering documentation from the decommissioning platform (Maintenance data, Performance standards, Integrity reports)
- Reviewing Decommissioning Safety Case, Performance Standards (PS) and Written Scheme of Verification (WSV) of the installation
- Creating and participating in tendering for offshore execution labor
- Managing mobilization plans prior and during execution
- Optimizing logistics between vessel and helicopter movements
- Ensuring a good level of cost follow up on day-to-day basis
- Participating in Risk Assessment for the Decommissioning activities with the Project Engineers
- Provide support to the Project Manager for:
- Reviewing maintenance data and integrity reports and reporting any concerns
- Reviewing Method Statements when required (process or structural depending on background)
- Providing input in Execution planning
Qualification and Skills
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Oil & Gas operator background, with Project Management exposure
- 5 years minimum of experience including;
- Offshore Operation Engineer experience (or NUI OIM)
- Experience or involvement with construction, revamping or development projects
- Knowledge and understanding of Offshore regulation (Ideally UK or Dutch regulation and eager to learn new regulations)
Attitude/other skills
- Willing to be part of a fast-pace developing company
- Good knowledge of Maintenance Management System, Safety Cases, Offshore regulations
- General knowledge of process equipment, from downhole to export line
- Team player and autonomous worker. Ability to work with various engineers (QHSE, Project, Process, Structure)
- Interest and curiosity for other activities of the decommissioning field (dismantlement, wells and P&A, regulatory compliance)
- Software:
- MS Project or similar
- MS Office
- Good communication skills, English mandatory, Dutch or French is a plus
