Role Purpose / Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution readiness of complex offshore decommissioning operations.
This role ensures technical integrity, operational efficiency, and successful collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering method statements for onshore and offshore execution.
  • Prepare lifting plans including drawings and rigging calculations.
  • Define scopes for rope access, scaffolding, welding, and subsea ROV.
  • Produce MTOs, mobilization plans, and equipment lists.
  • Conduct site surveys and fabrication follow-ups; issue visit reports.
  • Support vessel mobilization and yard activities before execution.
  • Interface with subcontractors and clients to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and registers.
  • Support the Project Manager to deliver work on time and within scope.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Naval, or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ offshore project engineering experience.
  • Proven involvement in decommissioning, topside removal, or load-in/load-out campaigns.
  • Direct hands-on offshore execution experience.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore construction and lifting operations.
  • Ability to perform and review engineering documentation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for design and planning.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel offshore (up to 3 weeks, 1–2 times/year).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
